“WOODGROVE CENTRE” THE GRAND PUMPKIN HUNT
(The “Contest”) RULES AND REGULATIONS
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER THE CONTEST. CONTEST IS VOID IN WHOLE OR PART WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. SEE ELIGIBILITY SECTION BELOW FOR FURTHER DETAILS. TO COMPLETE YOUR ENTRY YOU MUST READ AND AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS. PARTICIPATION IN THIS CONTEST CONSTITUTES FULL AND UNCONDITIONAL AGREEMENT AND ACCEPTANCE OF THESE CONTEST RULES. ALL DOLLAR AMOUNTS ARE IN CANADIAN FUNDS ($CDN) UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED. ANYONE UNDER THE age of majority in British Columbia (19+) ENTERING THE CONTEST REQUIRE PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN PERMISSION. ENTRIES ARE ONLY OPEN TO RESIDENTS OF VANCOUVER ISLAND (INCLUDING GULF ISLANDS AND SUNSHINE COAST COMMUNITIES), BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA.
(1) SPONSOR
The Contest is sponsored by Woodgrove Centre (Central Walk Woodgrove Shopping Centre Inc.) 6631 Island Highway North, Unit 102, Nanaimo, B.C., V9T 4T7.
(2) CONTEST PARTIES
Contest Parties include “Sponsor” subsidiaries, affiliates, nominees, parent companies and advertising/promotional agencies. They include but are not limited to Woodgrove Centre, Central Walk Woodgrove Shopping Centre Inc.
(3) CONTEST PERIOD (the “Contest Period”):
The contest begins Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at 10 am (PST) and ends at 8:00 pm (PST) on Thursday, October 31, 2024 (the “Contest Closing Date”).
(4) HOW TO ENTER
No purchase necessary.
Participants can complete the entry form available at Guest Services at Woodgrove Centre. Fully complete the entry form, which requires you to: (i) enter your data fields, e.g. full name, phone number, email address, age and (ii) complete the 12 retailer names associated with the pumpkin locations. Return the completed form to Guest Services to be automatically entered for a chance a chance to win a Woodgrove Centre Gift Card.
There is a limit of one entry per person per promotional period.
CONTEST ENTRIES ARE MONITORED AND IF THERE ARE MULTIPLE SUBMISSIONS FROM ONE PARTICIPANT DURING THE PROMOTIONAL PERIOD, THOSE SUBMISSIONS WILL BE REVIEWED AND STAND THE RISK OF BEING DISQUALIFIED.
All submitted entries information exclusively becomes the property of the Sponsor and Contest Parties. The Sponsor and Contest Parties shall have the perpetual, irrevocable, world-wide and fully-transferable right (but not obligation) to use, modify, display, reproduce, make derivative works of for promotional purposes in any manner or media whether now or hereafter existing and/or to otherwise use or commercially exploit any entry (or any part thereof) or information or ideas contained within any entry, all without further payment, consideration, attribution, notice or consent. Entries generated by a computer program, robotic or other automated means will be disqualified.
Sponsor will not be liable for entries that are incomplete, illegible, corrupted, false, lost or late or otherwise not in compliance with these Rules of the Contest. These entries may be disqualified from the Contest at the Sponsor’s sole discretion.
(5) PRIZES:
There will be (5) FIVE Prizes awarded: 5 x $100 Woodgrove Centre Gift Card. Once an individual has won a prize, they will not be eligible to win a second. Chances of winning a prize depend on the total amount of entries received up to and including that contest day.
The following conditions apply:
All prizes must be claimed in person by Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 5:00 pm PST.
The prizes are non-negotiable, non-transferable and non-refundable nor redeemable for cash.
Prizes must be accepted as awarded and have no cash equivalent. Substitutions of equal value may be made at discretion of contest organizers.
If for any reason, the winner is unable to accept the prize as awarded, the winner forfeits his/her right to the prize without compensation.
All entrants confirm their compliance with these official contest rules by submitting their entry. In order to be declared the winner, potential winner must first correctly answer, unaided, a time limited mathematical skill testing administered by Woodgrove Centre and complete a contest release form before being confirmed as the Prize winner.
(6) WINNER SELECTION:
Prize Winners: The potential Prize Winners (5) will be determined by random draw, selected from the pool of entries received. The winner will be notified by phone and/or email on Friday, November 1, 2024.
By entering the contest, you agree to be bound by the Contest Rules and the decisions of Woodgrove Centre, which decisions are final with respect to all matters relating the contest.
(7) ELIGIBILTY:
Employees and their immediate families of Central Walk Woodgrove Shopping Centre Inc. or its affiliates, Woodgrove Centre tenants and their employees, advertising agency and consultants, and other sponsors, and suppliers and their employees are not eligible to enter and the immediate families (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) of each of the above.

(8) GENERAL RULES:
The contest is void where prohibited by law and is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. All incidental costs and expenses not specifically referred to herein, including (without limitation) taxes shall be the sole responsibility of the prize winner.
By entering the Contest, entrants agree to hold harmless Central Walk Woodgrove Shopping Centre Inc. and its affiliates, subsidiaries, agents, directors, officers and employees, Woodgrove Centre (collectively the “Released Parties”) against any and all liability, damages or causes of action (however named or described) with respect to or arising out of: (i) entrant’s participation in the contest, (ii) the receipt or use of the prize awarded therein, or (iii) the administration of the Contest and the distribution of the prize awarded therein.
Prizes must be claimed in person and winners are responsible for their own transportation to and from Woodgrove Centre. Before being awarded a prize, the Woodgrove Centre winner selection panel must verify the winner ensuring their photo identification matches the information provided on the entry ballot. Upon approval, the selected entrant must sign Woodgrove Centre’ standard form of Declaration, Release and Waiver, releasing the Released Parties from any liability arising from, among other things: (i) participation in the Contest, (ii) acceptance of the prize awarded therein, or (iii) the administration of the Contest and the distribution of the prize awarded therein.
Prizes must be accepted as awarded and cannot be exchanged for cash or otherwise.
Woodgrove Centre reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value and/or terminate, modify or withdraw this contest, in whole or in part, at any time, without prior notice for any reason including but not limited to, viruses, bugs, tampering or other causes beyond Woodgrove Centre’ control which affect the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the contest. In the event a substitute prize is awarded, such prize must be accepted as awarded and cannot be exchanged for cash or otherwise.
Subject to the right of Woodgrove Centre to make all determinations relating to the contest, any controversy or dispute arising out of the conduct of this Contest shall be resolved in the courts of the province of British Columbia applying the law of British Columbia and Canada, as the case may require which exclusive jurisdiction and law entrants agree to submit as evidenced by their participation in the Contest.
All entries must be acquired in an ethical fair manner (Unethical may refer but is not limited to: bots, spamming, fake or multiple email accounts). Any attempt to subvert the process will lead to automatic disqualification.
(9) USE OF CONTEST INFORMATION:
By submitting the contest entry, all entrants consent and acknowledge that Woodgrove Centre shall have the right to use any and all information relating to Contest, including information on entrants obtained through the Contest, for purposes of running the Contest and, where expressly consented to, for marketing purposes, unless prohibited by law. Entrants’ information shall not be provided to any third party unless the entrant grants its consent to Woodgrove Centre.
